				This is a structured, activity-based photocopiable book that focuses on strategies for building students' effective and independent library use. Library activities are divided into three sections. Getting Into Information - includes activities on posing questions, evaluating available resources, skim and speed reading, making notes, presenting ideas, etc. Gathering Information - includes activities on using library resources effectively; such as encyclopedias, dictionaries, the Dewey system, indexes, on-line catalogues, web resources, discriminating information, etc. Making Information Work For You - includes activities on applying the learning and understanding from the previous sections to actual research projects. There are over 60 photocopiable pages.
