Design and Technology Teasers is a book of 20 photocopiable technology challenges relevant to the technology of mechanisms, electronics and controls. The challenges require students to have some basic experience in the use of technology tools and processes, for example: cogs, pulleys, electrical circuits, and so on. Each challenge poses a problem which needs to be solved by using design and technology principles and systems. Challenges each have two pages - one for teachers and one for students. The challenges offer no solutions directly to students. However, a possible solution is included in the accompanying teacher notes. This means that teachers have the flexibility to direct students to particular types of solutions that best suit their teaching requirements. Students can work on the challenges individually, in pairs, or in small groups.
